Printed for the Society for Promoting Christian Knowldge at the Clarendon Press, Oxford. With notes, explanatory and practical from the most eminent writers of the United Chruch of England and Ireland (Anglican), together with appropriate introductions, tables, indexes, maps and plans. Prepared and arranged by the Rev. George D'Oyly and the Rev. Richard Mant, domestic chaplains to His Grace the Lord Archbishop of Cantertbury. Nice, tight clean copy with rubbed extremities and some scuffing to rear board calf; corners slightly bumped; endpaper leaf split over front hinge, but hinge tight & firm; some soft creases to spine. Vol. 1 only (half the Old Testament up to and including the Song of Solomon).
