NY Pierre Matisse Gallery 1965, Limited/Numbered Paperback Fine Album of 30 b/w plates and illustrations, plus 7 colourplates, plus text, unbound as issued, in portfolio of stiff wraps. INCLUDES ORIGINAL DOUBLE-SPREAD COLOUR LITHOGRAPH BY MIRO. Portfolio wrapper is also a lithograph by Miro. Text by Pierre Schneider. Portfolio spine and borders lightly sunned, with minor rubbing to extremities, and very small faint stain to spine; front free endpaper bears some light offsetting from lithographed wrapper. Printed in Paris on the occasion of Miro's exhibition, "Cartones", at the P{ierre Matisse Gallery, NY, October 19-November 13, 1965. The original lithograph and cover were printed by the renowned Fernand Mourlot of Paris, and the colourplates (pouchoir prints) by Daniel Jacomet. #1079/1200.
