OLIVIER, Laurence

British actor. A.L.S. to a friend, thanking her for her thoughtful note and talking fondly about an unknown project they had worked on together recently. 2 pages, small 8vo, on personal stationery. Brighton, UK, Feb. 18, 1968.

1907-1989 Signed "Larry": "I can't tell you how very much touched I am that you should have troubled yourself to write to me so extremely thoughtfully. Yes, I suppose it is a bit of a shock that I shall not be greeting you again at one of those meetings, but, like you, I can only make head and tail at less than half of them, and am inclined more and more, to absent myself from them at the slenderest excuse...I feel a bit tired, sometimes I envy you your getting out. I shall miss you..."
