On returning to Europe he became involved in commercial speculations, living for three years with the author Mary Wollstonecraft by whom he had a daughter.This particular work consists mainly of reprints of earlier rare works relating to Kentucky, and a report by Thomas Jefferson on the Quantty and Situation of hte lands not claimed by the Indians, nor granted to, no claimed by any citizens within the territory of the United States.This edition preceded the second edition published in London in the same year; the first having been published in 1792.
