Prague 1743 Carl Franz Rosenmüller First edition Contemporary full calf. Spine with raised bands, morocco title label and gilt floral motif. Marbled endpapers. Title-pages with printer’s device. An excellent festival book commemorating the entry and coronation of Maria Theresa as Queen of Bohemia and Hungary in Prague in May 1743. A rare item.
This copy seems to be bound without the remaining 9 plates. Six of the double-page plates depict processions through the city; the other three are interior views showing the ceremony of homage, the coronation, and the coronatin banquet. Folio Illustrated with engraved frontispiece, 1 large engraved folding plate depicting the coronation of Maria Theresa, elaborate engraved head and tail pieces, and 6 plates (of 16) with 83 engraved coats-of-arms. Extremities worn, some browning. 3 volumes bound as 1 Berlin 2135; Lipperheide (1963) 2630; Ruggieri 993. Pp. engraved frontispiece, title-page, dedication, title-page, 1-21; title-page, 1-12; title-page, 1-70.

All prices are given and payable in, U.S. Dollars, and are subject to change without notice. Items may also be purchased in other currencies at that days exchange rate (local).
Payment may be made by money order, cheque, Mastercard, and Visa. In case of payment with a credit card, we require a signed order, with card details (the number and expiry date) and the full billing address of the card. Unless otherwise instructed, all overseas orders will be dispatched by express post at the customer's expense. Shipping insurance may be arranged at the buyers expense and behest.
If any item should be unsatisfactory to the purchaser, we offer a full refund as long as the item is in its original condition, and we are notified within 7 days of receipt.
