London: Joseph Reynolds & Sons, [Ca. 1865] Accompanying the instruction booklet is an elaborate boxed set of four packs of bésique cards, each accompanied by a movable dial-type marker/scorer, the whole set into separate compartments in a purple moire silk-lined gilt bronze-trimmed box of a honey-colored exotic wood. The box cover is a trifle warped, and there are minor signs of wear here and there, but the overall condition is fine, and the packs are complete. An unusual and attractive item...and a useable one!
