Paine, Thomas

Rights of Man. Part the Second. Combining Principle and Practice

London: Printed for J.S. Jordan, 1792 The second part of Paine’s revolutionary advocacy of representative government, and an appeal to the English to overthrow their monarchy. It was so popular with English radicals that 200,000 copies were sold by 1793. As a result, Paine was tried (in absentia) for treason and outlawed in December 1992. This second edition appeared in the same year as the first The Second Edition. 8vo. 178, 44p. Modern cloth. Very good copy
