Havana, 1831 With a 5 page small 8vo manuscript poem "Oda" laid in, unopened, leaf watermarked "1834."¶ José Antonio Echeveria was a diplomatic agent for the Cuban insurrectionist government. His extensive library of Spanish, French and English books was sold at the Leavitt Art Gallery in New York in 1885.¶ A work with this title and author was published in 1829 at Filadelfia with 164 pages, edited by Domingo Del Monte (CUBAN POETRY) 8vo. 46 pages with several blank leaves following. Contemporary Spanish [Cuban?] stained sheep, red morocco label. Rubbed, head and tail of spine chipped, some light browning, else very good
