Rouen: Éduoard Frère, Éditeur, 1836-1838 The Roman de Brut, a paraphrase of Geoffroy of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae, chronicles in verse the early British kings. Wace's poem is the earliest surviving text that discussing the origins of the King Arthur's Round Table. The regular edition (on laid paper) measures 22-23 cm in height; this copy is almost five centimeters taller.
