Cincinnati: Robert Clarke & Co, 1870 Volume Number 6 of the Ohio Valley Historical Series. Daniel Drake raised in Kentucky , at 15 was taken by his father to study with a physician, Dr. William Goforth of Cincinnati where he remained for 4 years. He themn became the good doctors partner. He also was an educator and civic leader. He founded the Ohio Medical College in 1819 and was the founder and editor of the Western Medical and Physical Journal. His antislavery letters in the National Intelligencer were republished as Dr. Daniel Drake's " Letters on Slavery." His works are especially valuable for studying early pioneer years of Kentucky and Ohio. The first edition is especially rare and reprints were done in 1907 and 1948 (KENTUCKY) First edition.
