vii, 67, [1] pp. 8vo, cont. decorated wrappers. Florence: Molini, 1809. First edition. Zach (1754-1832), came from a noble and distinguished family in Hungary and Czechoslovakia. In 1786 he was appointed head of the observatory which Duke Ernst II of Gotha-Altenburg erected near Gotha and in his following years he wrote a number of books containing his observations as well as solar tables and star catalogues. Very good copy. Lacking a leaf of ads at end. D.S.B., XIV, pp. 582-83.
