Epistolica Oryctographia Goslariensis.

One folding engraved plate. 15 pp. Small 4to, modern marbled wrappers. Helmstädt: 1733. First edition of this rare work on the geology of the area surrounding Goslar, a town at the north foot of the Harz Mountains. There was much mining of sulphur, copper, silver and other metals. Ritter (1684-1755), prorector at the Royal College at Ilefeld and a member of the Academia Caesarea Naturae Curiosorum, wrote numerous monographs on mineralogical and geological subjects. Fine copy.
