Floral block-print frame to title-page, rubric shoulder-notes and initial letters. Gilt and blind-stamped Maroon card covers with yapp edges. Covers lightly soiled, yapp edges chipped with small tears, spine ends chipped, engraved bookplate of Jacob De Witt with his ink signature and date of 1910 at head of title-page, else very good copy. Pages 45-114 are devoted to 'Indian Picture and Symbol Writing' with numerous illustrations; p. 115-130 is 'A Legend of the North Pacific,' is a dissertation on the origin of the Aborigines of North America.
