New York Derby & Jackson 1857, Original Cloth Small octavo (19 cm x 13.5 cm), pp.483. Original light blue-grey, blind-stamped cloth, spine-strip reads: "Currer Bell's Works. Jane Eyre. Charlotte Bronte" and at the tail: "Standard Female Novelists." Covers lightly soiled with fading to the margins, spine-strip sunned to tan colour with lettering quite faint, and rubbed at head & tail, corners soft with minor rubbing to tips, contemporary ink signature to front free endpaper dated 1857, endpapers lightly tanned, else a very good, tight, clean copy.
