Brown cloth, gilt spine title, top edge rough trimmed, others deckled. Gift inscription to front free endpaper with the line, "... Isn't the author your forebear?" Owner's ink signature and address dated 1939 on front pastedown, some offsetting, light stains to bottom margin white space scattered throughout, foxing to plates; covers lightly scuffed and rubbed, corners soft, head & tail of spine starting, edges dusty and lightly foxed.
