Large paper 8vo, 5 vols, 3 frontis, 84 plates, text illus, publisher's catalogues in all vols except 4, uniformly bound green cloth, covers blind blocked, spines gilt. From the library of the Montreal business man, F.B. Matthews, with his sig on v 3 "1857" and v 5 "1860." Covers bumped and soiled, spines sunned and chipped, v 1 hinges weak, v 4 shaken, minor stains else contents very good. Ruskin's name appeared for the first time on v's 1 & 2 in these editions in 1851.
