Introductory booklet inserted. Design, printing and hand-binding by George McDonagh. Mint in dust soiled boxes. 'The essays ... that are presented in this book all first appeared in periodica l s ... from 1868 to 1907. With one exception ... all these essays ... have not before been gathered into permanent book form'.
