Small 8vo., pp. [viii], 187, 14 head and tail engravings (half-page) after Thomas Stothard, most engraved by James Heath, some by James Parker, Thos. Medland, R.H. Cromek and Wm. Angus, contemp. tree calf, gilt spine. Lacks ffe. Covers moderately sc uffed, half-title soiled, water stain in gutter of first few leaves, pp. 161-end on paper that has discoloured, else very nice copy. First published 1792, immediately popular it reached its 15th edition by 1806; first illus. by Stothard in 1794, t h i s edition probably close to that date.
