Burton / F.R.GS" on spine below title. Complete with half-titles. F ine copy of this rare work; minor bumping of cover corners, lightly rubbed, with minor foxing first and last. On the voyage to take up his position as consul at Fernando Po, Burton took the opportunity to explore Madeira and Tenerife in the Canary I slands, Bathurst, Sierra Leone, and Lagos.
