Very good copy in lightly chipped dust jacket with mounted colour plate (repeat of 'Temptation of St. Anthony') to both upper and lower panel. "This book contains reproductions of the paintings of Michael Ayrton from his first exhibited picture, painted in 1939 when he was aged eighteen, until those shown at his exhibition in March 1947 shortly after his twenty-sixth birthday.
