Edges dust soiled and lightly scuffed, minor stains else very good. An extensive study by the Secretary of the U.S. Board of Indian Commissioners who spent seven weeks, Aug-Oct, 1914, visiting agencies, reserves and boarding, industrial and day schools from Quebec to Alberta; contains excellent clear photographs of schools, housing, farms and missions and inhabitants; the 53-pages of blank forms give a vivid picture of the nuts and bolts of the administration, from the surrender of reserve land, admission to residential school, permit to sell horses, summons to a witness / to a defendant, record of crops, &c. Fulsome praise is given to Duncan Campbell Scott, Deputy Superintendant General of Indian Affairs, Ottawa for his co-operation, &c.
