BLACKWOOD HENRY,MARGUERITE. ORIGINAL ART: GERALDINE BELINDA. Offered here is the original color mixed media illustration by Gladys Rourke Blackwood used on the front of the dust wrapper of the book published in 1942 by Platt & Munk. The image measures 8 3/4" wide x 10 1/2" high with no margins, executed in colored pencil and ink. There are a few scattered spots otherwise Very Good condition, matted. The story is about a little girl who is inclined to be selfish and what she does with her 25 cents. The image shows Geraldina Belinds in her coat, hat and muff striding down the street with her nose in the air - a charming piece. Sold with a copy of the book in dust wrapper.
