MOESCHLIN MOESCHLIN,ELSA. THE RED HORSE. NY:Coward McCann (1944) 4to, cloth backed boards, (20)p., near Fine in repaired dw. The story of Peter and his wooden horse who comes alive. Illustrated by the author with very beautiful and richly colored pictures on each page - somewhat primitive in style. Moeschlin was born in Sweden but lived in and worked in Switzerland. (See Mahoney et al p.156,338). Originally put out in 1929 as one of Coward McCann's 1st publishing efforts, it is an example of "beautiful printing from Europe" (Bader p 30-31).
