Harper New York 1866 First Edition BAL 13673. Melville's scarce volume of poetry on the Civil War. Minor stains to covers, most noticeably to lower right front where some of the smoothness of the cloth is lacking. The dark endpapers are present, but there are remnants only of the two free flyleaves, which do not figure intothe signature count and which were originally between the dark endpaper andthe title page. Trivial foxing. Above average copy.
