Joannis Elsevirii Lugduni Batavorvum [Leyden] 1677 Small 4to, bound in modern leather-backed colorful marbled boards. Six leaves, some old corrections in text. Nice printer's mark on title page, engraved tail piece on last leaf. Some pages closely trimmed across the top, with some words affected. On verso of the the title page Stone describes himself as a Staffordshire native, "In agro Staffordiensi Armigero, Parenti aeternum honorando." Stone's doctoral thesis was supervised by the Rev. Prof. Gothofredi Spinaei. Apparently not in the NUC or Willems, "Les Elzevier Histoire..."
