S. edition An impressionistic account of the author's bird watching adventures, illustrated with several hundred illustrations: vignettes, plates, &c, in black & white. Small quarto. Original cloth elaborately stamped in gold & blind with designs of birds, cat-tail reeds & pond lilies, all edges gilt. Spine & top & left edges of front cover faded. Top inch or so of the front inner hinge parting, one signature partly sprung, but on the whole, a well preserved copy of this attractive book.
