Original cloth-backed boards, very good copy, 291 pages plus advertisements for other books (two of which are Utopian romances by Clifford). Clifford is not in the NUC or RLIN. Worldnet does locate a copy at Duke & Vol. 23 of the "Gesamtverzeichnis des Deutschsprachigen Schrifttums" lists this title & one other by Clifford. A rare novel of Western American interest. The translator's 8-page P r eface places this work within the context of the Western novel (beginning with Twain & Harte) & also relates it to the contemporary cinematic scene.
