Sadleir calls for printed paper labels on the spine - in this case the labels are gilt on thin black morocco with rather an amateurish look about them, so presumably later replacements. 4 pp. undated advertisements at the end of volume one. Some minor wear to the edges of the boards, otherwise a fine copy. Preserved in a splendid quarter bound brown morocco box, with individually tooled spines, raised bands and gilt lettering, each volume also in a protective cloth slip. Joint 9th on Sadleir's list of scarcities.
