London, Trübner and Co. 1857 First English edition. Three volumes. Original green cloth. pp vi, 300; [2], 237; [2], 231. Parrish page 197; not in Sadleir or Wolff. This edition was preceded by an American edition in four parts published by Ticknor and Fields. A fine copy preserved in a custom-made box, quarter bound in green morocco with raised bands, gilt panels and lettering. Each volume is also in protective cloth slip.
