Bleiler "The Guide to Supernatural Fiction" 992 with the remark after a summary of the plot, "wildly imagined against a background that shows much research...Enjoyable, if a little florid." Locke "A Spectrum of Fantasy" volume I, page 136. Lee-Hamilton was the half-brother of Vernon Lee. This colonial edition consists of the sheets of the first edition published in the same year. A very good copy. Scarce.
