This was Arnold's first poetical work after he was elected to the professorship of poetry at Oxford. Written in unrhymed choral lyrics, it was Arnold's attempt at creating 'a similar impression to that produced by the rhythmns of Greek choric poetry'. 2 pp. followed by 32 pp. undated advertisements. A very good copy.
