"The Two Prima Donnas" is set in France and was inspired by an article in a newspaper which described a woman living in a remote chateau who did good but whose identity was a mystery. "The Dumb Door Porter" is adapted from a Russian story by Turgeniev and concerns a good man driven to despair by an unreasonable woman. 2 pp. undated advertisements. Nicked at head and foot of spine and on upper joint, otherwise a very good copy.
