Frontispiece and five illustrations by the author's sister better known as Lady Butler. Alice Meynell published this, her first volume of poetry under her maiden name of A. C. Thompson. She was given encouragement and support by literary figures such as Ruskin, Rossetti and George Eliot. Ex-Libris Eric Quayle. Lacks errata slip. Cloth slightly worn at head and foot of spine, otherwise a nice copy.
