Butler's successful satirical novel the inspiration for which came from the five years he spent in New Zealand working as a sheep farmer on the Canterbury Plains. Rubbed and nicked at head and foot of spine, small split on lower joint, hinges cracked. Preserved in a collector's box. Slip case repaired at foot of spine which is slightly stained.
