Poet and publisher of the Sheffield Iris Newspaper, Montgomery inspired much admiration in the Sheffield neightbourhood. This account of the dinner gives a verbatim report of the many speeches, Montgomery's own containing much of biographical interest. Contemporary ownership signature (illegible) and annotations. A very good copy.
