No. 1 in the "Shilling Garland" series which attempted to break free from the prevailing Victorian patterns of metre and rhyme. The response to the series (edited by Binyon himself) was enthusiastic and Binyon's own verse was well received. Cover design by Selwyn Image. Upper wrapper nicked at foot, otherwise a fine copy.
