Oxford, Henry Daniel. 1884. First edition, one of 100 copies. Original cream wrappers with decorative design in black. 8vo. pp. [vi], 40. Madan 8; Reilly 'Late Victorian Poetry 1880-1899' p. 139. In early life Dixon sympathised with the Pre-Raphaelite movement. His unusual and striking poetry was admired by Bridges and G.M. Hopkins. A pleasant example of a Daniel Press book: the first letter of each piece is miniated. Ownership inscription on front free-endpaper. Upper wrapper sunned, minor wear to spine and edges of covers.
