London, Kegan Paul, Trench & Co. 1887. Second edition. Original red cloth. 8vo. pp. x, 316. Tipped in 28 line autograph poem by Lang titled "The Salmo Irritans" on the joys and frustrations of salmon fishing. A note by Lang records that it was composed at Chiefswood (Melrose, Scotland) in October 1890 and presented to D.A. Shennan (whose bookplate is on the front paste-down). Also tipped in is an author's presentation slip. A collection of fantastic tales (Bleiler p. 299) dedicated to Rider Haggard. 42 pp. advertisements coded 3/89 followed by 4 pp. undated advertisements. A very good copy.
