Weyman's only publication, a sensational tale of murder involving a Scottish member of parliament. With a printed dedication to G.A. Henty "as a mark of gratitude for his friendly advice and encouragement during the author's early literary career." Printed in Glasgow. One copy of the first edition only in Copac (BL); not in NUC. Some minor rubbing, but overall a fine copy.
