Charles Dickens's copy with the label "From the Library of Charles Dickens, Gadshill Place, June, 1870"; see "Catalogue of the Library of Charles Dickens" (Piccadilly Fountain Press, 1935) page 100 which lists Cadell's complete editions of Scott's works in 88 volumes. The prose works formed 28 volumes out of the 88, the present work being complete in itself. With a frontispiece and an extra engraved title-page. Spine rubbed, labels chipped, light water-staining to the frontispiece and engraved title-page.
