Oxford, T. and G. Shrimpton. N.D. [1863] First edition. Original brown wrappers. 12mo. pp. 22. Richard Watson Dixon was one of the originators of the second wave of the Pre-Raphaelite movement. He was at school with Burne-Jones and was close to both Rossetti and William Morris. Described by the "DNB" as "a very dignified and impressive piece of writing," this is Richard Watson Dixon's second book of verse after "Christ's Company and Other Poems" (1861). Minor creasing to wrappers, otherwise a fine copy. Scarce: BL and Oxford only in COPAC.
