First edition. pp. ix, [3], 111. London, John Warren. 1821. Bound with: BIRD (James). Cosmo, Duke of Tuscany: a Tragedy, in Five Acts. First edition. pp. vi, 113. London, Rodwell and Martin. 1822. The second and third items were printed in Yarmouth (see Johnson 79 and 74 respectively); the first edition of the first item (Johnson 81) was also printed there. James Bird (1788-1839) was the son of a Suffolk farmer. After an apprenticeship to a miller, he kept a stationer's shop until his death. Bound with half-titles but without advertisements in the case of "Machin". Covers and spine rubbed. Bookplate of James Mason Martin.
