With an inscription from the publisher John Lane to James Roberts Brown, a fellow-member of the Sette of Odd Volumes, dated 1888. Loosely inserted is a one page autograph letter signed with initials on "The Scots Observer" headed paper from Henley to Lane dated 3 January 1890 confirming his address for a communication. Small repair to tear at head of letter. Bookplate of James Roberts Brown; bookplate of Eric Quayle. Preliminaries foxed, spine rubbed. Preserved in a collector's quarter morocco box.
