Poet and sometime diplomat, Ainslie was one of the founder members of the Oxford University Dramatic Society. While he was an undergraduate at Exeter College, Oscar Wilde introduced him to Pater. In 1886 Wilde wrote to him after a visit, "You were very sweet to come and see us; we must have many evenings together and drink yellow wine from green glasses in Keats's honour." Bookplate of Percival Hinton. 6 pp. undated advertisements. Spine a little darkened.
