A collection of tracts on various subjects including: the possibility of approaching the North Pole; a translation of Don Francisco Antonio Maurelle’s Journal of a Spanish Voyage in 1775 to explore the Western coast of N. America, relating to the Northward exploration to Alaska; an account of the young Mozart, with an engraved plate; and a dissertation on the Linnaean System (on pp. 262–75).
“Maurelle’s Journal in the present work is the only contemporary account in English of this Spanish sea voyage.
