Paris, chez Ch. Ant. Jombert, 1751. 4to. xxvi + 152 + viii pp. + 93 engraved plates. Woodcut device on title, one engraved vignette. Contemporary full calf, rubbed, slightly waterstained in upper margins. A description of the models, etc. collected by the author’s grandfather Nicolas Grollier, a French soldier of fortune, who was born at Lyon in 1593 and died in 1686. This is a re-issue of the second edition (1733). The work originally appeared in 1719. Wheeler Gift 369.
