Contemporary cloth-backed boards, joints partly cracked. First edition. The edition of this attractively produced book was limited to 500 copies (289 subscribed by residents in Bengal, Madras, and Bombay Presidencies). Pp. 129-36 contain “A List of Plants gathered on the Neilgherries, particularly in the environs of Ootacamund” by the Rev. Mr. Schmid. A second edition appeared in Calcutta in 1857.
