Reprinted at Lübeck in 1709 and at Frankfurt in 1723. Besides his activities as head of the diocese of Ingermanland, Bergius found time to make considerable scholarly contributions to the fields of Russian language and civilization. The chief result of his Russian research was this work on the state of the Russian church and religion.
