On the front endpaper is a letter to Harry Chaplin from Jack Lindsay explaining how he decided to use Pearl Binder's illustrations in this book. There is also a in letter from Lindsay to Chaplin which reads" Pearl binder dropped one day into our Fanfrolico Press office with a portfolio of her work... Tom Driberg had told her to come along...Pearl has quite a variety of styles but there were some of hers quite amusing yet strong in character which gave me the idea of proposing the Skelton poem..." These details about Elynour Rumming were presumably intended by Lindsay to help Chaplin in the preparation of his monograph,"The Fanfrolico Press"
