Kipling, Rudyard.

DEBITS AND CREDITS.

Garden City: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1926.Ê First American edition. Octavo, pictorial green cloth, gilt. (i-iv) v-vi (vii-viii) 354pp. A clean tight copy with some fading to the gilt lettering, otherwise very good. A mixed collection consisting of twenty-one poems and fourteen stories, including six which are fantasy or science fiction: Perhaps Kipling's finest collection of short fiction. "The Wish House," one of the most highly regarded of all Kipling's many short stories, is, according to his biographer Angus Wilson, "probably Kipling's most successful single story."
